What happens at the first consultation?
We are aware that in today’s busy lifestyle time is of the essence and as such a complete assessment is made at the first consultation. This means that Dr Loizou will assess your medical history and perform a thorough examination with close attention to your areas of concern.
A screening Duplex examination, which uses sound waves to indicate the presence of any underlying venous abnormalities, is performed. If venous abnormalities are found then the exact nature of these need to be determined with a more detailed duplex examination which is performed on the spot.
Dr Loizou will then explain the findings and the treatment protocol, which will be required to treat your veins successfully as well as a complete discussion regarding possible complications.
Detailed written information will be discussed and provided for your reference.
An itemised costing for your proposed treatment will be provided to you in writing.
Adequate time is allocated to answer any questions.
